Mounted in a 7x7 inch white frame backed with white canvas. The pipevine swallowtails is North America’s most poisonous butterfy. Six different species of butterfly mimic the pipevine swallowtail’s coloration to deter predators. The males have significantly iridescent hindwings that reflect light in a way that creates a striking blue color when hit by the sun. Females also have iridescent blue wings, though not as pronounced.
